Tina Dodsley - Financial Director

Tina’s first job on leaving school was as a Junior Admin Clerk in Barrister’s Chambers in Nottingham and although she says she ended up with all the jobs no one else wanted-there was one particular task that she greatly enjoyed, and that was checking briefs for the Barristers prior to them going off to court. She remembers well some of the more gory accounts…...and the photographs that went with them!

All along this job was only ever going to be temporary as Tina had already applied to join the Royal Navy. She duly signed up to the Women’s Royal Naval Service in 1986 and trained to become a radar specialist based in Plymouth, Portsmouth and London. Tina stayed in the service until 1993 and this was when her career in finance began-with an Accounts Assistant role in a Plymouth based electrical company. 1998 saw a move to selling car finance as Underwriting Manager; a role Tina was to stay in for some 10 years. After eight years as Finance Director with a company designing and supplying catering equipment Tina was persuaded to join us in the role of Finance Director Designate, later becoming Financial Director. 

Tina is involved in all financial aspects of the company as well as taking on some HR responsibilities. She says she enjoys a challenge and will tackle anything thrown at her!

Tina lives in the village of Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire with her partner David and she has two step-daughters, Kim and Beth. At the time of writing there is a Labrador shaped hole in her life…one which she hopes to fill one day soon. In her younger days she was a heptathlete and although she no longer participates she loves to watch all athletics and always looks forwards to the Olympics. Tina also enjoys watching rugby which she describes as a ‘real man’s’ sport!
