Mark Taylor - Sales Manager

When Mark left school he joined a company involved in the manufacture of bar stools and pub furniture but very early on he realised that it wasn’t the job for him and began to look around for something different. He saw an advertisement in the local job centre for a trainee position and so began his career in paper. Initially his duties involved filing, organising samples and tea-making but he quickly progressed to an inside sales role where he was given responsibility for some stock control and passing off invoices. During this time the Sales Director obviously spotted something in the young Taylor because he made the decision to put him on the road two days a week, opening up the smaller accounts.

1990 saw Mark in a full-time sales role gaining experience in the paper, packaging, digital and wide-format sectors before progressing to Sales Manager for the North East working for Donald Murray Paper (Paperlinx).

When the company restructured in 2014 Mark decided to take voluntary redundancy and with his 30 years of experience in the industry he went off in search of new challenges and this lead him to Warren.  Mark now covers paper sales in the North East.

Mark lives in the seaside town of South Shields with his partner Michelle and his Border Terrier Chester who he describes as the love of his life! He has two children-Jake and Jude.  He has played semi-professional football for most of his adult life and continues to play each weekend, now in an over 40s team. Mark says he loves his food and red wine but enjoys keeping fit to balance it out.
