Roy Cashmore - Warehouse Operative

As an eager 16 year old, Roy started his working life just three days after leaving school. He joined a very small company providing car MOTs in the Beaumont Leys area of Leicestershire. He was to stay here for a couple of years before registering with employment agencies in Leicestershire and Devon and taking on a variety of roles including working for Walkers Snacks and British Gas. He gained his fork lift truck licence at the age of 18 whilst working for the employment agency.

In 2004 he joined Samworth Brothers, a Melton Mowbray based chilled food producer, as an order picker. Roy was to spend three years with this company, covering in a Team Leader position during holiday periods. Roy spent nine years with this company before once again joining a recruitment agency and securing employment with our next door neighbour Widdowson Logistics Group and later working for a clothing company on a permanent contract. Roy came to Warren in 2015 as a Warehouse Operative, joining a well-established team.

Roy lives in the Mowmacre area of Leicester with his partner Cherie and his two young daughters Lauren and Sinead. They also share the house with a Staffordshire bull terrier called Maisie. When he’s not involved with family duties Roy enjoys tinkering with all things mechanical – apparently everything from cars to motorcycles to lawn mowers. If it’s got an engine…he’s happy to tinker! He has also spent a considerable amount of time doing up his home; an investment he has been happy to make as he says he’s enjoyed the DIY projects he’s undertaken.
